Carpet you’ll love

Carpet can often make your guests feel at home, even before you do. With a combination of lush underfoot comfort and gorgeous design possibilities, these floors are perfect for living rooms and entryways. They meet the decor needs of a variety of spaces and you can go wall to wall with the same great look, or choose something new and exciting for a variety of different spaces. In either case, you won’t be disappointed with the results.

There was a time when stains were the biggest enemy a carpet could ever have, but these days, things are changing. Some manufacturers are providing products with stain resistance built into the very fibers of the flooring. This not only means it’s easier to keep your floors clean, but it means that no stain will ever become permanent, thanks to a fiber that doesn’t allow substances to soak in. What’s more, you can never wash it off.

With the addition of carpet in your home, you can also expect benefits such as excellent heat retention, noise reduction, hypoallergenic fibers from some manufacturers, and a life span that you’ll appreciate. To get the most out of the lifespan of this material, however, make sure you discuss a professional installation with your flooring specialist.

Carpet process

A professional installation is crucial to the life and performance of your carpet. Here’s what to expect during your carpet installation.

We send out an estimator to measure your rooms and determine how to minimize waste to maximize your carpet. The installation team will need to use your electricity for tools as well as an area to work.

You will need to move all furniture and miscellaneous items like lamps, televisions or any other breakables before the installer arrives. If you have any oversized furniture or appliances you may need to have this moved by a third party. The overall goal is to move any items that could break and make your installer’s job as easy as possible. This will speed up the installation process.

Your installer will be responsible for removing and disposing of the old carpet. Your installer may need to remove your doors to complete the installation. If the new carpet is thicker, your doors will have to be trimmed before they can be reinstalled. Carpet installers do not perform carpentry work so it will be your responsibility to either trim them yourself or hire a professional.
